Former soap hunk Josh Kelly has a starring role in the direct-to-video sequel, Jarhead 2: Field of Fire. Kelly calls upon his real-life past as an Army Ranger in the Middle East to play battle-weary Corporal Merrimette whose team is quickly embroiled in dangerous territory without backup when they set out to protect an outspoken Afghan woman and get her to safety. Josh gets a shower scene early in the film, allowing for some rear nudity from the actor. His showering co-star who goes full frontal is not credited.
